Young Pastor Brown attends a conference in Washington, DC. While there, he goes to a lecture by old Pastor Gray, who is preaching against the evils of political correctness: “We can’t keep on tolerating sin! You must tell people the truth about their wicked ways, even if it hurts their feelings!”
Afterward, young Pastor Brown goes up to old Pastor Gray and tells him how much he admired his lecture. Old Pastor Gray is flattered and says, “How would you like to come with me to meet the President of the United States?” Now the President at this time is George W. Bush.
When the pastors meet Bush, young Pastor Brown says, “Hey, how are you, George, you warmongering, lying eavesdropper, you!”
“Pastor Brown!” old Pastor Gray yells. “Is that any way to greet the President of the United States?!”
Young Pastor Brown replies, “Why, Pastor Gray! You wouldn’t want me to be politically correct, would you?”
