Dems, Is It Really Ok To Call A Woman “slutty” And Joke About Old Men Knocking Up Teenage Girls?

Filed in Category Jokes About Men

Now that you dems ALL agree that Letterman was just being funny, it’s open season on your mothers, daughters, wives, aunts, and friends. Now ANYONE can call the women in your lives sluts and if you get upset, you’re nothing but a hypocrite.
Letterman attacks Palin and her family and the only thing you Obama supporters have done is continued the attack on Palin. You democrats need to learn respect for women!

I wonder where the National Organization of Women is on this?
Had this joke been directed at Michelle Obama or one of her kids, NOW and every other organization would be out in force demanding the head of the “comedian” who made the comment.
It just goes to show that the National Organization of Woman is really the National Organization of LIBERAL Women.

I am not a Dem but I think the Letterman joke was in poor taste. And if people stop watching his show that’s the breaks. I don’ watch him anyway.
But I don’t agree that Gov Palin should try to link this attack on her family to the President and his family regarding their treatment by the media.
David Letterman is not an elected offical to any political office that I am aware of in this country. And I don’t consider him to be a part of the any media group either. He is simply, in this case, a comic who said the wrong thing and now will have to suffer what ever fate American women decide he deserves.
So when he suffers from foot in mouth desease don’t try to make the link to others who were not involved with his statements.

Yes, it’s definitely ok. Because they are jokes. Fact check: those jokes about Palin’s daughter was about her 18 year-old-daughter not the 14 year-old that some believed. Makes you wonder why some thought the worst, maybe because they were conservative.

It is if you’re on the left.
It’s also acceptable to call “right wing extremists” tea-baggers at the expense of a group which they say they support…those who actually ‘tea-bag’ each other.
    They’re a complicated lot.

Only if they do not live in urban environments, have six children by six different men and draw a welfare check and live in public housing.

Not all Dems are morally bankrupt. My liberal brother in law is calling for Letterman’s job.

Only ok when it is a conservative woman who is the butt of the joke…

while those jokes were distasteful we live in a country that allows free speech…i know some people hate that but it’s the law…for now

Umm…ok. I’m democratic, but I don’t think that he was right in attacking her daughter. I actually find it amusing that you say that democrats need to learn respect for women when our party supported a woman running for president. Are you aware that there are democratic women? That’s like someone saying ALL white people are racist. It sounds foolish. Letterman was way out of line and I know that I am not the only democrat that feels that way. Like when it became public that Palin’s daughter was pregnant and the media made a big issue about it. Obama, himself, made a statement about how that had no relevance to Palin’s performance in politics.
Palin had a right to be upset about what Letterman said, and people of ALL political standings are offended. I think that you are attempting to make it more a question of political affiliation when, in fact, it’s not. It’s a question of character and not race, politics, or any thing of that manner.
As a DEMOCRAT, I REALLY think they should leave Palin and her family alone. REALLY. See how people of different political parties can have similar beliefs? Amazing isn’t it?

Dude, you are way off base on this one. The reason that Letterman has a right to cap on these people is that Sarah dragged them into the limelight in order to get votes and dragged them around the country like props. If they had stayed home, we wouldn’t even know anything about them. It’s their mother who set them up.

  13. tribeca_ on August 21, 2009 3:35 am

No, but the fact is that Bristol Palin did get pregnant out of wedlock after her politician mother advocated for abstinence-only education, criticized comprehensive sex education and preached about family values and small-town values. That is fair game.

  14. raprunr on August 21, 2009 4:34 am

Yes but i know how to take a joke by joking back and not taking things seriously when i know they are not intended to be serious. After how Sarah has acted in the past there is no need to respect her, lol.

    Its not open season
These are public figures who are fair game for lampooning
