How Can I Get The Women At Work To Stand Up To Men That Make Sexist/harassing Comments?

When I am at work, the men often say sexually suggestive comments to the women, rub their shoulders and make the stereotypical women jokes. Now I have reported these men on numerous occasions but all they get is a warning. The main problem is that the other women are laughing it off and telling me boys will be boys. Some of the women even encourage the sexual advances.
How can I explain to them that this is enforcing stereotypes about women being passive and unintelligent?

Wow i just read al the stupid *** comments ppl are writing how pathetic. Talk to the girls again and be like don’t u get offended you are married women.. say something that will hit them.
And if they keep continuing to do that i suggest report to someone else that’s also in lead.
You won’t be able to convince people who don’t want to hear it. I’d look for another job, I’ve done the same thing, complained about sexual jokes, and sexual comments made to me, but since it was a manager doing it, even though his manager would complain, the higher ups thought it was a joke.
Just because it’s against the law, HR is there to protect the firm first, managers next, the bottom line, and employees don’t really count at all. I took some courses on HR and it was a shock to find out that it’s all about saving the company’s rep, by minimizing damage by supporting managers (no matter what they do). To HR, employees and customers mean nothing-they are not there to do a thing for you. They are there to protect the company’s interests, not yours.
Some women enjoy being harassed, they are obviously in the lower IQ range and desperate for attention, any attention,l for those who are upset by this behavior, tell them to start documenting any comments/gestures and write down dates times and what the offense was, then they need to go to HR and file grievances against these losers.
Don’t forget that we all have opinions. Yours are that sexual attention demeans women. Clearly some female colleges disagree. Maybe you are frigid and she’s a slag.
Don’t worry, women can be just as hurtful towards men that give a toss. Best answer, don’t give a toss.

Have a formal sexual harrasment complain done to you boss. Make sure at least one more female can back you up. Sexaul harransment lawsuit are taken very, very seriously these days in court and that will surely make your bosse’s knees to go weak.
If they are laughing it off and not considering themselves harrased, then their not harrased.

If your dad , or your sons, brothers, do such things, to some women, would you report them???

I sincerely doubt what you are saying is true. One report to HR of sexual harassment (whether grounded in reality or fantasy) is usually all it takes to destroy a man’s career.
