White People: How Do You Really Feel About Jokes About You?
Filed in Category Business Jokes
I am mixed and have white friends, and a white fiancee, so no accusations of me being racist. Thank you.
Lately I have been going to a comedy club, and alot of the comedian, most of whom are black are telling jokes like that.
Examples:
(black comic): Welcome to Germantown. Where you can see caucasions in their natural habitat.
(black comic): Where are all the rowdy white people. When things get outta hand, y’all gonna get me arrested.
(George Carlin): White people have no business playing the blues. Your job is to give people the blues.
I’ll admit I like those jokes, but as long as no one group is picked on.
One comic said, I offended everyone here, but remember, I offended EVERYONE.

I think they’re funny.
If a person cannot laugh at themself (or their people group) then they might just need therapy.
I am English we laugh at everyone including ourselves, and there are a lot of black/asian englisman we are all the same, all have te same sense of humor
A joke is a joke. I don’t pick them apart to find something offensive. I just laugh if it is funny
I’m white and I laugh at myself a lot.
well its fine if it doesn’t start getting really bad, but the good thing about it is that they really aren’t rude. Plus, there are other racist jokes about black people, white people, and even hispanic people. all types can be made fun of in one joke, but as long as you can laugh about it with a hispanic or black friend, then your JUST laughing at a joke, and that is simply it.
I honestly could care less. Call me a honkey or a cracker i don’t care. I see you made a joke about germantown. Are you from tennessee? because that is actually where i am from Germantown, TN
I think its funny. It doesnt hurt my feelings. Afterall, they are just jokes!!
Now if someone walks up to me and says degrading racial comments rudely and seriously then.. no.. that aint cool.
But jokes?! Its all fun and games. That germantown one is funny.
I am white and I am all for jokes about all races, as long as they are spoke to most of the truth like white ppl cant dance, black ppl have big lips, you know the ones that dont hurt anyone but for the most part are true. Its funny the differences that our cultures has and laughter is the best cure. Everyone gets together and laughs at others and themselves then we’d all get along better…Me and my black friends and white friends make fun of each other alot, mostly no limits but not disrespectful.
i liked your jokes. you are very funny. but you are also very smart. spread the wise cracks around. remember you still have to get to your car to go home. some people are not very tolerant. you should thing about sticking around, you are great. 62 year white woman. keep it coming!
…you know…i only like jokes that are intelligent….clever..witty,….i have NEVER found it funny to make fun at anothers expense..now making fun of one’s self…can be clever and funny…i don’t think there are very many funny comedians in the media…however, i have quite a few friends that are absolutely hilarious…
I don’t mind the jokes execept when they get out of hand. And likewise with black people joke or mexican jokes and so on. Some I’ll admit are funny but when they are just too over the top they get a little annoying.
But I’m a good sport about these kind of jokes and laugh along with the crowd =)
I, as a white man, would like to see a proliferation of WASP jokes.
Here’s one: How many WASPs does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
One, to call a repairman.
It’s payback for whites making jokes about other ethnicities. Racial humor might not ever go away, but it’s better to laugh than to lynch. I usually laugh at white-people jokes, but I don’t know if I will develop a bad attitude toward those jokes later. It doesn’t really seem like a way to ease racial tension, but maybe it does somehow. Unless you do it too much, then people start getting mad.
I think everybody should be able to laugh at themselves and others
I am not offended, but I guess I would be offended by some jokes.
i have no problem at all with jokes of any race they can call me any thing they want . but my wife said but you have never been under the thumb of the whites ok so i haven’t but i love carlos mancia he can pick on any race and it’s ok . if a black calls me a cracker are they an oreo cookie you see names don’t bother me because i’m not looking for a fight. i’m looking for laughs and fun in life .I love comedy only nothing else .
i’m not racist at all, but there really are some funny racist jokes which includes both white, black or whatever. I crack up if it’s a racist joke about white people, people should take no offense, they’re only there to make people laugh. Such as: why don’t they let the black babies play on the sand? Because cats try to cover them up
I am not offended. I think it’s funny.
I don’t have a problem with it. Would you have a problem in white comics tapped the bottomless cornucopia of black jokes?
I think it’s all in good fun! I’m not at all offended. Now if they keep it up and that’s ALL they do I might think they had some issues with “white people.” On a side note: My ancestors were Native American and I don’t think they get much “press” in America.
You have to be able to laugh at yourself or else you take yourself too seriously & that’s just not cool. I like any joke as long as it’s clever regardless of who it’s about.
yeah I don’t think we really care. we’re not really allowed to tell the same kind of jokes, but it’s no big deal.
being made fun of is a lot better than being hated because you’re white- but every ethnicity seems to have to go through that.
Also, I don’t really think that most white people identify themselves with ‘being white’. That’s not where our personalities are, if that makes any sense. If we were more prideful about being white, we might be more liable to take offense.
Let’s face it, white people can say and do some really goofy sh*t sometimes.
I tolerate them more from other white people.
I don’t tell racist jokes; I don’t appreciate being on the receiving end, either.
The only thing that bothers me about it is, you know if a white person made jokes about a black person they’d yell racism. Other than that I don’t care. I’m opened minded enough to realize that everyone has their own opinion. Most likely they’re only doing it for the show anyway. They are pretty funny though.
