   just because you joke about it, that doesnt mean you approve of it… i hate when people hit women… personally, i feel more sorry when a woman gets hurt than when a man gets hurt…. i still have sympathy for men…. i just cant help feeling more sad for women being beaten
   bring on the thumbs down from the abnormally high amount of feminists on here…

   Because most of us don’t actually do it to them… It’s one thing to joke around. It’s another thing to perform the action. We like to joke around about things that wouldn’t normally happen. That’s kinda what a joke is all about.
   I personally don’t take women’s crap. If she hits me, I hit her back gentle at first, but then with increasing magnitude. Screw the double-standards. I won’t knock her out, but I won’t let her slap me around either.
   Sure, you may say that being the bigger person will solve the problem. In reality, it doesn’t. Sometimes you just have to show people that you aren’t the type to be messed with, whether it’s a man or woman. I believe in equal responsibility across both genders. If you’re going to do something, expect a consequence with no lee-way.

   what are you smoking? Hitting women is not funny, assaulting anyone is not funny.
   When we discus inter gender violence it is mostly about the unfair double standard that society puts on men when it comes to self defense in regards to domestic abuse or any violence women commit against men.
   Granted there are some ignorant 13 year old trolls here but the majority clearly finds violence unacceptable.

   I really hate that I’m about to say this- But i’ve never seen any of the anti fems joke about hitting a women.
   They get overly sensitive when it comes to getting hit themselves, and most of them have often expressed that they would hit a women back if she struck first-
   But joking about hitting a women? I don’t know. Maybe that’s just the trolls?

   Women hit men all the time. On TV and movies women hit men for “comedy.”
   Men have to watch other men getting hit on a routine basis in our culture.
   Katie Couric can slap her male co-worker in the arm repeatedly in a fit of rage and no one cares.
   I’m pretty sure no one gets angry about that…
   And that’s the problem.
   If the situations were reversed, people would flip out.

   For the same reason a woman might joke about hitting a man, but would get angry at the idea of a man hitting a woman. Fact is we all joke about others, but no one wants a violent act to be committed against them.

   Are you sure you didn’t flip-flop the words “men” and “women” in your question?
   The only thing I think would be bothersome about a woman hitting a man is the fact that she generally faces mild consequences….

   Same reason many women see sexual assault on men as fine (kicking him in the balls)… but a man ‘looking’ at a woman can result in him losing his job.
   Uhhhh – even remotely fair? of course not.

    Sorry but..You got it backward. It’s much more of the other way around..
    Notice this in real life as well – women talk about how they would slap/hit their boyfriend/husband if they did something worng..

    WHAT??!!?? Haven’t you ever seen a beetch’s face after you slap her?? It’s hilarious, and then the tears really put it over the top…..guys are more stoic or just get the crazy eyes….not at all funny.
