Why So Many Jokes On Senior Citizens?

Filed in Category Senior Jokes

I appreciate jokes. No problem with them. However, Seniors have a lot of life experiences, and wisdom to share, so why “not so funny jokes?” You can’t tell me people stop thinking and reasoning after 65…?

WE enjoy the jokes, it is better to laugh than to have a pity party. Go back and read, there is other information available as well.

Maybe we’re just tired, and old and down in the gutter, and we would like to have a laugh. And just maybe we don’t feel responsible to tell you all our past history. how much are you paying per hour? And maybe we just don’t even want to remember our past history. And maybe some of us are not even smart.
Just cause you get old doesn’t make you wise. I was only wise for the
first 8 years of my life.

If nothing else, aging makes most folks not take things so seriously. Lighten up and live !

I gave you a star. Interesting question and it seems you got a lot of interesting answers too. Laughter is the best medicine as Reader’s Digest has been telling people all over forever it seems. It is good for everyone, Young and Old

We love to share good times and good jokes. You have no idea what we think about and never will with your attitude.

Maybe because by the time you become a senior you have learned that if you dont laugh at life its gonna get you ?

You answered it yourself…we appreciate jokes as well. Whether you think the jokes are funny or not is strictly a personal opinion. We do have a lot of life experience and wisdom that we share, but we’re not here as guru’s ….if you want the wisdom, ask the question and we’ll be there for you!

Why are so many coming in and asking silly questions like this….what the heck is wrong with jokes? and who dictates what we are supposed to ask?

I still have a sense of humor. Don’t you? My sense of humor got me through a LOT in my life. There are jokes about everyone! Lighten up a little. You’ll live longer!

We enjoy laughter and a good joke. If there is anything you want to know just ask we can be serious to and will, just ask the question. Thanks for appreciating our wisdom, that is nice.

As John Travolta said in the movie Michael, “Ya gotta laugh!”. And that’s the truth!

The jokes are a pass time in between the seriousness and sharing of wise teachings. Only ask the question and they will become as serious as need be for you or anyone who asks. May I suggest your next question to them be something along the lines of politeness and how to have compassion for those who are trying to spread good cheer?

We love to laugh and we are seniors= jokes on SENIORS.
We may be getting old, but we aren’t dead yet.
I think I want to adopt WW. He is our greatest defender.

Ya it is kinda mean, but I don’t think they mind. Since they have so much life experience, I think most seniors have come to a point of self exceptance where they can laugh at themselves.
Example: I was at Hallmark the other day. An elderly lady standing next to me farted…. she started giggling, pointed to her husband, and said “it was him.” I laughed for ages!

Pills medicate the body ….. laughter medicates the soul.

I think seniors have the best sense of humor of anyone. We’ve seen so much and been through so much, that we learned long ago that if we can’t laugh at ourselves, we’re doomed.
Well, we’re probably doomed anyway, so isn’t it better to go out laughing than screaming?

Sadly, many of these jokes are just personal communications that are clevery disguised to get a rise out of someone who might be a potential threat to the health & safety of those in a very cold location. They are frozen in time, so don’t even think they care about changing what they post . People never stop thinking & reasoning unless they are medicated in some way shape or form. Even then, they still have something in those brain cells. Where I’m from we are considered to be Senior Citizens at age 55. Parables are everywhere these days. In the Media, & the morning news. Stories seem to be big business these days. People will do anything for an extra buck. No matter what age they are.
